I didn't even realize that Jeep still sold these. Upgraded them and everything.

That Patriot comes in dirt cheap quite honestly. Cheaper than all the compact cars I believe.

The Patriot starts at roughly the same cost as a base Corolla or Kia Forte, but considering its little more than a lifted Dodge Caliber that shouldn't be surprising. The Patriot also doesn't come standard with power windows, locks, or keyless entry, which just about every compact does these days.

Power windows, eh. Keyless entry, beh. A Jedi craves not these things.

Thanks for pointing that out. Guess you have to get rid of something to make something that cheap. It also come with a manual transmission. I can tell you something thoough. I'm really considering the Renegade as a possible next vehicle. That pic of the one that was lowered for rally purposes sold me. Cheap, 4WD, Manual transmission AND turbo??? Come on that is just begging to be hooned.

I went to the Louisville, Kentucky auto show that showcases all the new cars last weekend. The Jeep display was a bunch of Cherokees, a Wrangler, a Grand Cherokee with every option ever (it was ridiculously expensive), and a lonely little Patriot and Compass shoved in the back corner by themselves. I think they're literally still on sale just to catch the buyers who have horrible credit and no money but still think they need a 2015 vehicle.

Honestly these are good value for the money. their four wheel drive system is excellent, cuts through snow with ease, and very practical, easy to drive. A no frills no bullshit vehicle. I like them.

I honestly was wondering about its system and how it would handle off road. If a new one goes for this cheep then surely a used one is dirt cheap and quite a good value for the money. Now to YouTube I go to see its credentials.

Wow crazy. The Compass is probably a significantly nicer car for $2k more, or at the very least a huge step up in the styling . The cheap plastic squarish boxy thing will be a poor trend to look back on.

Get the FDII (Freedom drive 2) model. That has a pseudo low-range mode and it really works.

But even the base FD1 drivetrain is very capable.

and the rear seat legroom is amazing for such a short vehicle.
